Selling Points for Corporate Housing

While the basic laws of being a salesman remain constant regardless of what is actually being sold, the specifics can often change drastically depending on the product. In the case of something like Phoenix corporate housing, there are a few traits that can be taken into consideration.

For starters, it pays to know what corporate housing will usually entail. These arrangements are temporary, more often than not, and are typically short-term. However, they do serve as a good alternative to a more traditional hotel stay for many companies. The buildings will usually have internal apartments of flexible number, located within the city the business resides in. They’re completely furnished, which is a major selling point for many, and can – and often do – rotate clients in and out of these rooms, with cleaning being conducted in-between guests. Larger companies often are looking for housing facilities in more than just one city.

As mentioned, the furnishings are a major selling point. Most businesses that can afford corporate housing generally don’t need to have the place come pre-furnished. However, given the way the economy has gone the past few years, it might be effective cost-cutting for them to get one that has all the basics in place. This also makes it a better choice for those that are in need of the housing quickly or expect to need it in the near future. The less time wasted in equipping it, the more attractive the choice becomes.

Proximity is also a major selling point. The idea for getting corporate housing is to make sure that the employees have a place to stay that’s more practical than a hotel, but still reasonably close to where they need to be. Depending on why they’re staying, this could mean different things. However, it is usually a safe bet to place the housing or apartment somewhere near the business district, on the assumption that most of what needs to be done will be in that area or accessible from there.

Size could also be a factor. Some companies might expect a lot of traffic to go through a given area and would, therefore, need much larger corporate housing structures than normal. Others might not see much business in a given city – just enough, perhaps, to justify the small apartment or townhouse they’re looking into.
